these charming lidded jars are thrown on the wheel, glazed inside with a cream white glaze and outside with a colored glaze but the rim of the cover is left unglazed; the color comes from the flame in the wood-fired kiln; the different "flashings" show the power of the flame.
the spots are naturally inside the clay - Pyrite.
these vessels would be a perfect housewarming gift or for the next dinner party you attend or your beloved cook...if you are able to give it away and not keep it for yourself.... :-))
food+ dishwasher+ microwave safe.
due to the materials and the technique I use, all pieces are slightly different and unique.
