I fell in love with this lovely red, vintage Schwinn bicycle on a road trip many years ago. It was leaning against a chain-link fence at a Seattle flea market and I knew it would be mine. I hauled it all over the U.S. on the back of my little Saturn — unloading it every time I had to get into the trunk.
I almost sold it before moving here to Michigan—to a dear friend in New York I knew would appreciate it — but at the last minute, couldn't go through with it. And so the Schwinn is still here with me and long overdue for a drawing dedicated to her.
SIZE: An 11x14, easy-to-frame, standard size print.
I print in my home studio on Epson watercolor paper because it is beautifully textured, has substantial weight and the bright white surface makes the colors rich and true. I use high density pigment inks that are long-lasting and highly fade and scratch resistant.
Signed, dated, then packed with care with archival backing board in a cello bag and shipped in a rigid mailer.
